Claims Administrator

Ivernia Insurance is seeking an experienced Claims Administrator to join our company. Reporting to the Head of Claims the Claims Administrator is responsible for the efficient oversight, coordination, and administration of TPA managed claims. This role ensures effective management of Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), accurate claims payment processing, and robust reporting to support operational and financial performance. The Claims Administrator acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, insurers, and external service providers, facilitating smooth claims handling and ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and insurer expectations. Key Responsibilities


1. TPA Oversight & File Audit Management

  • Conduct regular audits of TPA-managed claim files to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to service-level agreements.
  • Monitor claim reserves, investigation quality, documentation, and timeliness.
  • Highlight discrepancies, escalate issues, and drive corrective action plans with TPAs.
  • Maintain logs, audit summaries, and performance dashboards

2. Claims Payment Authorisation

  • Review and validate payment requests for accuracy, policy coverage, settlement authority, and supporting documentation.
  • Approve payments within delegated authority levels and escalate where required.
  • Ensure all payments comply with financial controls and audit requirements.

3. Claims Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute claims-related reports, metrics, and dashboards for internal teams and management.
  • Ensure data accuracy within claims systems and reporting tools.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, including Insurer MI packs.

4. Insurer Collaboration & Reserve Meetings

  • Participate in claims reserve meetings with TPA
  • Provide supporting documentation, claim summaries, and analysis for insurer partners.
  • Track outcomes, action points, and changes to reserves or handling strategy.

5. Property Claims Administration & File Management

  • Manage claims administration for property claims including payment management
  • Liaise with loss adjusters and administration on files over Delegated Authority
  • Ensure accurate documentation, evidence collation, and record maintenance across all claim types.

6. Payment & Financial Administration

  • Prepare and reconcile batch payment files for insurer or internal finance processes.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate coding, allocation, and reporting of claim expenditure.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented, authorised, and auditable.

Experience And Qualifications


Essential

  • 2 years + Experience in claims administration/handling (general insurance).
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards
  • Industry qualifications – minimum CIP required

Desirable

  • Experience working with Insurers, Service Providers and Brokers
  • Familiarity with TPA management and audit processes desirable but not essential.
